Composition : Each mL contains: Active substance: Fipronil 2.5 mg.
Dogs and cats : Treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.). Treatment and prevention of tick infestations (Ixodes spp., including Ixodes ricinus). Treatment of infestations by biting lice (Trichodectes canis). Insecticidal effectiveness against new infestations by adult fleas persists for up to 3 months, depending on the environmental context. The duration of the acaricidal effectiveness of the product is one month against ticks, depending on the environmental pressure of infestation.
Dosage : It is important to moisten the coat down to the skin. Depending on the length of the hair, apply 3 to 6 mL of solution per kg of body weight (i.e. 7.5 to 15 mg of active substance per kg), i.e. 6 to 12 pump pumps per kg of body weight with the 100 mL bottle. The 100 mL bottle contains: Approximately 3 to 6 treatments for a 5 kg dog, depending on hair length; Approximately 8 treatments for a 4 kg short-haired cat; Approximately 2 treatments for an 8 kg long-haired dog. Properties: The formulation contains a covering agent. Spraying therefore creates a film which is deposited on the coat and makes it shiny. In the absence of a safety study, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
Method of administration : Spray the product over the entire coat of the animal from a distance of approximately 10-20 cm. Apply in the opposite direction of hair growth, ensuring that the entire animal’s coat is moistened. Massage the coat, especially in long-haired animals, so that the product penetrates to the skin. For the treatment of the area around the head or to treat young or nervous animals, application can be done by first spraying the product onto a glove and then rubbing it into the coat. Allow to dry in the open air. Do not towel dry. Puppies and kittens can be treated as young as 2 days old.
Contraindications : Do not use in sick or convalescent animals. Do not use in rabbits as adverse reactions, sometimes lethal, may occur. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
Adverse effects : If the animal licks itself, a brief period of hypersalivation may be observed, mainly linked to the nature of the excipient. Among the extremely rare suspected side effects, cases of transient skin reactions such as redness and itching or hair loss have been reported after use. Exceptionally, cases of hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms), vomiting or respiratory signs have been observed after use. If you notice any side effects, even those not listed in this leaflet, or if you think that the medicine has not been effective, please inform your veterinarian.
