Features of the Bighorn 75+ Markhor Hunting Green backpack

The Bighorn 75+ was designed to take over from Markhor Hunting’s Ibex model.

Thanks to its volume of 75 liters you can store your game inside the bag (recommended to add an anti-blood pocket), as well as your hunting equipment and your personal effects.

For an optimal fit to your back, this bag is equipped with the Vario System (adjustable strap height). Its back, straps and belt are made of very thick foam (3D) with mesh, which cushions the weight of the bag and facilitates the evacuation of perspiration.

Finally, to give this bag the best longevity, its canvas has been made with a waterproof and resistant Cordura Ripstop ® fabric (silent fabric and very mimic green color).

YKK reversed zips are the guarantee of the best quality zippers available.

  • Weight: 2,990 kg g.
  • Dimensions: 70 x 38 x 25 cm.
  • Volume: 75+ liters

The bag can be compressed using 2 straps located on the sides of the bag (adjustment to the volume carried). These straps can be used to carry a weapon, a tripod, poles, etc. thanks to elasticated pockets.

Technical design:

  • Back: high-density anatomical 3D foam wrapped in honeycomb mesh.

  • Shoulder straps: padded with 3D honeycomb mesh foam, chest strap (detachable) with safety whistle and reinforced load reminder. Hand rests and clips for the weapon strap. Clips for the water bag tube (right or left).

  • Belt: Reinforced with high density 3D foam and honeycomb mesh.
  • Hydration pocket: Pre-equipped to receive a water bladder.
  • Compartments: 1 main compartment with separation (2 compartments) + large opening on the front for access to the inside of the bag.

  • 5 Pockets: 2 side pockets with bellows, for the flap, 1 exterior pocket and 1 interior pocket, 1 pocket on the front of the bag.
  • Accessories: two straps with clips and protection + pocket for the stock for transporting a firearm or a bow, key ring clips, fluorescent cap for safety. Over-bag (delivered with the bag).

Backpack adjustment:

To adjust the bag to your size it is important to adjust the bag carefully, make minor adjustments and ensure that the bag is the correct size. We must ensure that the strap passes over the shoulder from the back panel without leaving the shoulder at any point.
The belt should fit snugly and be placed on the iliac crest (the weight is on the waist), depending on the adjustment there should be enough space to remove or add layers of clothing.
Securely compress contents using external compression straps. The aim is to give the bag an elongated and slim profile. It is particularly important to maintain lateral balance: a bag leaning to one side puts excessive pressure on the spine and irritates the shoulders.
In addition, don’t forget to put as much equipment as possible inside the bag. Indeed, the presence of various pieces of equipment attached everywhere outside the bag can seriously disrupt the balance, especially when they can swing in all directions.
Finally, keep in mind that the top pocket tends to serve as a storage for many small items which ultimately add up to a lot of weight and make the bag particularly top heavy, a situation that should be addressed to pay attention.

Interview:

To ensure maximum longevity for your backpack, it is recommended:

  • After each outing, clean the bag thoroughly by taking out all the equipment to shake off all the dust. The most stubborn stains can be rubbed with clean water (dry away from the sun)
  • Loosen all the straps, especially those used for load recall at the top of the shoulder straps
  • Store the bag in a cool, dry place

To wash the bag completely: remove the removable straps and belts, wash the bag by hand by immersing it in lukewarm water in a bathtub for example, shake then rinse the bag. To dry the bag, avoid exposing it to the sun
