This third version of the Impala Evo hunting backpack is an excellent expandable backpack (5L), suitable for hunting, walking and hiking.

Its waterproof, durable and silent fabric canvas, as well as its YKK zips, give great resistance to this walking backpack.

Its high-density 3D foam back wrapped in mesh follows the curve of the back and effectively wicks away perspiration. The straps are also made of mesh.

Thanks to the optional “Rifle or Bow Holder” support to add to the bag, it is possible to carry your rifle or bow directly on the bag

Technical details

– Accessories on the shoulder straps: chest strap, clips for the weapon strap. Clips for the water bag tube (right or left).
– Belt: adjustable with loops and 2 side pockets.
– Hydration pocket: Pre-equipped to receive a water pocket.
– Compartments: 2 main compartments with 1 padded binocular pocket.
– Extension: + 5 L thanks to a zip and a gusset.
– Pockets: 2 small, substantial side pockets, 1 pocket on the front of the bag.
– Access: to the main compartments through 2 openings at the top of the bag.  
– Accessory holder: flap (with integrated cartridge belt for 5 cartridges) adjustable with 2 clips for carrying clothing or other, 2 exterior buckles, carrying handle.
– Compression: 1 compression strap on each side to adjust the volume of the bag to transport the garment.

Possible option: “Rifle or Bow Holder” allowing you to carry your rifle or bow directly on the backpack. This support pocket clips directly onto the 2 Hypalon loops on the bottom of the bag. The weapon is also attached to the upper part by a strap with buckle. 

Backpack settings :

To adjust the bag to your size it is important to adjust the bag carefully, make minor adjustments and ensure that the bag is the correct size. We must ensure that the strap passes over the shoulder from the back panel without leaving the shoulder at any point.

The belt should fit snugly and be placed on the iliac crest (the weight is on the waist), depending on the adjustment there should be enough space to remove or add layers of clothing.

Securely compress contents using external compression straps. The aim is to give the bag an elongated and slim profile. It is particularly important to maintain lateral balance: a bag leaning to one side puts excessive pressure on the spine and irritates the shoulders.

In addition, don’t forget to put as much equipment as possible inside the bag. Indeed, the presence of various pieces of equipment attached everywhere outside the bag can seriously disrupt the balance, especially when they can swing in all directions.

Finally, keep in mind that the top pocket tends to serve as a storage for many small items which ultimately add up to a lot of weight and make the bag particularly top heavy, a situation that should be addressed to pay attention.
